City of Heroes/Villains Recluse’s Victory Preview

Boomtown has put together a hands-on preview of Recluse's Victory, the new PvP zone that will be available in the upcoming Issue 7 update for Cryptic Studios' City of Heroes and City of Villains.
There were five open instances of the zone and after a victory on the third instance the server counted nearly 90 heroes, which means roughly 200 players fought against each other. This confirms what Thomas Foss told us after the event: The developers have learned a lot since the first PVP elements were integrated (the not very exciting Arena matches, ed.).

The main attraction and game dynamic of Recluse's Victory is the changing zone graphics. Heroes and villains battle for pillboxes scattered around the map, which is an adaptation of Atlas Park the very zone that heroes start in. If the heroes win by taking over all the pillboxes, everything is fine, but if the villains win, the zone changes radically into an extremely sinister world including a huge statute of Lord Recluse instead of the one of Atlas carrying the globe.
