The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Team Q&A #5

RPG Vault has posted the fifth portion of their The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Team Q&A, this time quizzing the development team about their most memorable moments while testing the game. A snip:
Guy Carver, Lead Programmer: I did a Fighters Guild quest to deliver some weapons. I had three guys helping me clean out the goblins, but two of them were overly rambunctious. They ran ahead and got themselves killed. I saved the last guy because he stuck with me. Well anyway, I went back to the Imperial City, and some guys started talking in a bar and commented on how the mission went wrong and two guys were dead. That actually angered me, and I wanted to tell them to shut up because it was the two guys' own damn fault for getting themselves killed.

Another memorable moment came when I was wandering around east of Bruma to continue the main quest. It was snowing, and looked pretty cold and wintry. It was extremely quiet, with no birds or bugs out, and I was feeling a little lonely. I kept summoning scamps to keep me company because nothing else was around at all. I found myself wishing I could talk to my scamp. At that point, I realized that was really stupid because this is just a game. I still summon scamps instead of ghosts or zombies because they seem more personable. I wish I could summon a dog or a cat.
