Dungeons & Dragons Online Review

The guys at ThumbBandits have conjured up a review of Dungeons & Dragons Online: Stormreach, giving Turbine's MMORPG an overall score of 9/10. Here's why:
This game would have been a masterpiece of multiplayer adventuring, had it not been let down by the user interface, the total lack of solo content, and a freedom to wander. As it is, when played with like-minded friends, a superb experience awaits all those who enter the world of DDO. With a depth of adventuring hitherto unseen in MMORPGs, Dungeons & Dragons Online breathes fresh air into a genre dominated by pointless grinding through '˜kill-and-collect' quests, and it finally offers what MMOs have been promising for years without delivering: a chance to do some real adventuring! I am not yet sure if I have found my Holy Grail of online D&D, and a format to match the pen and paper experience, but this is certainly the closest I have come to that elusive goal.
