X-Men Legends II: Rise of Apocalypse Reviews

Yet another large batch of reviews for X-Men Legends II: Rise of Apocalypse have surfaced on the 'net. The first is at Pro-G with an overall score of 7/10:
X-Men Legends 2 is a solid sequel to an already impressive game. Despite the few mentioned niggles it feels exactly like a sequel should: more developed and more adventurous. The gameplay is addictive and very rewarding, and in the time honoured RPG fashion, the more you play, the stronger you get, and the more you rule.

The second is at Darkstation with an overall score of 8/10:
Even if X-Men Legends II: Rise of the Apocalypse is not the most improved game this year, it still does enough right to warrant another high score. X-Men Legends II still has the same great team combat system and has enough variety and complexity in which you will find yourself really diving head first into a very enjoyable game. If you enjoyed the previous X-Men Legends game, then X-Men Legends II will not disappoint, just don't expect a totally new experience.

The third is at G4 with an overall score of 4/5:
But like any RPG, Rise of Apocalypse is really a solo experience. And for players given over to pure destruction, playing Legends is like spending an evening with a Seinfeld box set; despite the fact that there's really nothing there, the action is colorful and entertaining enough that it really doesn't matter. There's always that caveat--players who can't stand Diablo won't much like Legends, no matter their mutant fanaticism. But for everyone else, the mutant madness will be addictive and appealing.

The fourth is at Future Gamez with an overall score of 90%:
It's quite a simple decision this. If your a fan of comic books and/or action adventure styled games then this is an essential purchase. The production values, storyline and gameplay all combine to make X-Men Legends II: Rise of the Apocolypse the best comic book adaption of all time.

And the fifth covers the PSP version at Modojo with an overall score of 4/5:
Much to my delight, Activision's PSP hot streak continues with X-Men Legends II. It's just a well developed and deep adventure game that does its genre as well as the legendary series justice. Some very small annoyances keep it from perfection, but that shouldn't stop you from experiencing one of the system's best games. A must buy for mutants of all shapes, sizes, colors, and creeds, Rise of Apocalypse is a fine addition to anyone's videogame library.
