EverQuest II: Desert of Flames Reviews

A pair of positive reviews for Sony Online's EverQuest II: Desert of Flames expansion kick off the new weekend. The first is at GameSpy with an overall score of 4/5:
As far as the ultra high-end content goes, well, frankly, the vast majority of players are yet to get there. This includes us. The road to this, though, has been pretty entertaining. The Isle of Ro is home to many interesting characters, vibrant environments, and engaging quests, and, ultimately, memorable adventures. If you don't have a high-level character, though, it probably isn't worth your while to pick this up just yet, unless you're just dying to check out the Maj'Dul arena, or the new voice emotes (which, as of yet, don't have any combat applications). But if you're an EQII vet who's been on the fence about the expansion, wait no further. The water is fine. Or the sands, as it were.

And the second is at Boomtown with an overall score of 9/10:
Desert of Flames doesn't offer a whole lot to lower level players as the new zones are all level 45 to 60, so it's best seen as an expansion for higher level players. It's a worthwhile and enjoyable expansion to Everquest II none-the-less.
