Hammer & Sickle Preview

Digital Entertainment News has put together a detailed preview of Hammer & Sickle, after getting some firsthand time with Nival's tactical RPG. Here's a bit to get you started:
What won't be different though is the emphasis on the game's stealth aspects. This isn't the type of RPG where one actively goes in search of things to kill in order to gain experience. As a matter of fact, many missions work better and award more experience if people aren't killed. Stealth is of great importance in this game, with many missions requiring an operation to be completed in a clandestine manner remember, the main character is a spy so this is to be expected.

As with most stealth type games, there is a great level of difficulty. This isn't for the faint of brain. That doesn't mean only MENSA members will enjoy Hammer & Sickle, but to say that it is a challenging game that will at times frustrate the player. At times a bullet will be the right method, whether it be to shoot out the lights to better infiltrate a location or to take out a guard. At times, using a disguise will be the best method of progression.
