As I increased in level it opened the avenue to new cars, weapons, power plants for my car (I've got a miniature nuclear plant in it at the moment,) armor, etc. At the time of this writing I'd managed to reach level fifteen and I'm using a large pulse laser as my forward facing weapon, it slaughters multiple enemies at once that have the unfortunate disadvantage of being in front of me. I've also dabbled with rocket launcher turrets, flame throwers, vulcan cannons, a large blue laser that was actually a pulsating beam, and a missile launcher. Rocket launchers and missile launchers are fairly similar, but a missile launcher fires one big projectile that obliterates things in wide swathes, whereas the rocket launcher fires numerous small projectiles that obliterate things in small swathes.
