Camelot Grab Bag Q&A

Mythic's Sanya Thomas has once again posted her weekly Grab Bag Q&A on the Camelot Herald, this time addressing questions about resistance bonuses, clustering, and more. An excerpt to follow:
Q: I have characters in two different realms on the same server cluster. I tried to make characters in the third realm on the third server in the cluster, but it wouldn't let me. How come?

A: This answer has changed a little since Februrary. If you did not have characters on one of the clustered servers when they were combined, then you are limited on which realm you can create characters in on that cluster. You can only create new characters in one realm on a cluster, so any new characters made on a server you previously had no characters on would be from one of the two realms you currently play on that cluster.

In addition, you cannot delete your characters from one realm to switch to the third realm. Since you already have characters in one realm, if you delete all of the characters on the second server in the cluster, you will be limited to the first server's realm at that point.

So, for example: Say you've got Albion characters on Iseult, and Mids on Pellinor, and nothing on Kay. Since you created those characters before clustering occurred, you are grandfathered in and will NOT be prevented from playing either side. If you delete your Albion characters, and attempt to create a Hibernian on Iseult, you'll find that you can't, and the game will only allow you to create Midgardians. If you attempt to create a Hibernian on Kay, where you had no characters, you will find you're also restricted to Midgard.

If you do not delete either your Albs/Iseult or your Mids/Pellinor, what can you make on Kay, you ask? From both your friends in CS and Code Ed: The Cluster chooses one realm out of the two you already have. It will try to choose the realm you have the most characters in. More Albs on Iseult, you can make Albs on Kay. More Mids on Pellinor, you can make more Mids on Kay. In the event of a tie, the server chooses in this order: Mid, Hib, then Alb. If you have no Albion characters, eight Midgard characters and eight Hibernian characters, the blank server will offer you Midgard as your only choice.

Sanya here: The order of the tie breaking is currently set according to our raw population data, since this was one of those systems that could not be server or cluster specific.
