Auto Assault Interview

Gameplay Monthly has conducted an interview with NetDevil's Scott Brown, in which the technical director and project lead addresses several questions about their post-apocalyptic vehicular MMORPG, Auto Assault. A snip:
Q: Tell us a bit about the 3 races and how they each affect gameplay differently.

A: Each race, while having similar classes, accomplishes tasks in different ways. Maybe the most obvious difference in the three races is in their Hazards Modes, a short term, high damage special ability. The Biomeks transform into Meks and walk around shooting and stomping everything in site. The Mutants have a Wraith Phase that they create by exciting all the contamination particles around them to form a path of destruction that also moves very quickly. The Humans invert their shielding creating a localized electrical storm slowing anything that gets to close. Then they can call in strikes from orbiting satellites doing large damage to nearby enemies.

Additionally, each race has a completely different story arc; each hand-written to give a unique perspective on the world of Auto Assault.
