Dungeon Lords Reviews

A trio of new reviews for DreamCatcher and Heuristic Park's Dungeon Lord have hit the web, although you won't find many positive comments for the game in any of them. The first is at IGN PC with an overall score of 4.5/10:

The second is at Game Vortex with an overall score of 60%:
Overall, Dungeon Lords had a lot of good things going for it, and could have used several more months to solidify the controls and squash those pesky bugs. Thankfully, they are patching like most PC games out there routinely do, but it remains to be seen if a handful of tweaks really rescues this sub-par dungeon crawler.

And the third is at eToychest with an overall score of 69/100:
If so desired, players can bring friends along for a multiplayer romp, though finding a group of players willing to put up with the game's shortcomings will no doubt prove to be an adventure in and of itself. While good company can and does overshadow some of what the game does wrong, it cannot mask the fact that Dungeon Lords, on the whole, isn't very fun. There are high points, and, as mentioned earlier, occasions when players can almost feel the game trying to throw down its shackles and showcase its true colors as a worthwhile experience. Unfortunately this never really comes to pass. Perhaps, if given the chance, a sequel will be able to address the failings of this game in order to deliver the experience that is obvious the developers were so close to achieving.
