Guild Wars Reviews

A pair of reviews for ArenaNet's Guild Wars reached the web over the weekend, and they're both quite positive. The first is at Gamezilla with an overall score of "Recommended - Buy":
Last, for audio, I must applaud ArenaNet's choice of composers. The soundtrack for Guild Wars is composed by Jeremy Soule, famous for producing lush, extravagant film style scores. Plus, Guild Wars is extremely pretty, with some amazing art design, an excellent graphics engine, and a unique glow system. I give Guild Wars two thumbs up, and definitely recommend it to anyone that's looking for an MMORPG that requires skill and doesn't necessarily want to invest hours and hours into a game to get something rich and rewarding out of it.

And the second is at HV Online Gaming with an overall score of 4.5/5:
So what do I think of the game overall? I love it, plain and simple. Its easy to get addicted to and hard to put down, the gameplay offers near endless variety and endless replay value, however, the quests can get tedious the 3rd or 4th time through with new characters. But its quite fun to make a new character completely different from your last. The PVP game blew me away, it is insanely fun to go up against another team in an 8vs8 match. I also loved the monsters, there is a large varierty of things to fight and every area has some unique enemies to combat. So overall, I think this is one of the best games to be released in years. The only question that remains, is will it have the staying power of other MMORPGs? Only time will tell!
