There's no doubt that The Matrix Online has its flaws, however if you're a Matrix fan it's extremely likely that you'll be able to overlook these and set yourself within the continuing storyline. If you're into MMORPG's, it's likely that the flaws combined with issues such as server lag and uninspired level/quest designs will leave you cancelling the subscription after a few months; while those bored of The Matrix and have no interest in this genre, would be well advised to leave this one of the shelf...

If you've tried MMORPGs before and did not like the repetitive nature of the endless mission and leveling cycle inherent in these games, chances are that you won't enjoy TMO unless you are a true diehard fan of the films. If you're the patient type and are looking for something a little different from all of those fantasy-based games out there, then TMO is worth a look. It has its shortcomings and issues, but the potential is there for an interesting game.
