The Matrix Online Reviews

Two more mediocre reviews for Warner Bros. and Monolith's The Matrix Online have been posted to the web. The first is at Planetexile with an overall score of 3/5:
The Matrix Online could be a must have for any fan of the movie, but not for many others. The lightweight gamers probably won't get past all the Kung-Fu moves and stay away from gun slinging, let alone the other two branches. Also, for those with a budget level graphics card, problems might occur when it comes to areas closest to your direction, leaving you in the black. There are also reported glaring bug issues located throughout the game, which by the recent releases of patch downloads are being taken care of. MMORPG fans in general might get a kick out of this rendition, but they might want to wait a while until the games reaches a fair level of stability.

And the second is at GameZone with an overall score of 7.5/10:
Matrix Online does a fine job of keeping with the mythos from the Matrix storyline, and gives players the opportunity to jack in with player's from all over the world. Unfortunately, the game has many frustrating bugs at this point, and may frustrate gamers new to the MMORPG genre. Perhaps with some more patches and mission updates down the road, Matrix Online could live up to its potential.
