Unlike an action game with RPG elements though, Dungeon Lords' role-playing aspects are far more traditional. As well as being able to create your character, which includes being able to choose from a number of beast-like races, every kill earns XP which can be put towards increasing dozens of stats and skills. Interestingly, there are no great restrictions on what skills you can take (warriors can learn magic arts, and mages can learn armour skills), but the class you choose will determine how easy it is to raise certain skills.
