City of Heroes Review

The Wargamer has tossed up a review of City of Heroes, giving the superhero MMORPG an "Award For Excellence". Their final thoughts:
For anyone tired of rat bashing, City of Heroes is a breath of fresh superhero air in an increasingly crowded and stale genre. Although it's not as deep or as massive as many fantasy or science fiction online games, it is still quite young, and MMORPGs are akin to fine wines in that they improve with age, patches, and updates. City of Heroes does provide a stable, addictive social forum in an entirely different setting, and ultimately it's this setting that makes or breaks the game for most players. In addition, the developers are keen on issuing hefty regular updates, and are also clearing up the perceived weaknesses such as lack of player controlled villains and PvP in the first full expansion. Six months after release, City of Heroes has only blue skies, following winds, and lots of baddies still to bash.
