Horizons Interview

HomeLan Fed has conducted an interview with Artifact's David Bowman, asking the company president several questions about the future of Horizons: Empire of Istaria now that a large portion of the company's staff has been let go. A snippet:
Q: The game received mostly mediocre reviews when it was first released. How did you react when those reviews were released?

A: We received a wide variance in reviews that reflect that fact that Horizons is different than the existing MMORPG products. If your expectation is that the game should be the same as your previous experience, and you are only willing to put an afternoon into your review, then you review the game poorly. If you enjoy the ability to play the game for shorter play-times, to play as a Dragon, to customize your character's abilities through an open skill development system, the beautiful world and the many other Horizons' specific differences, then you rate it highly. The constructive criticism I took from a couple of the reviews was the poor client performance on some configurations and the early database problems we experienced.
