Overall, Beyond Divinity is a pretty decent example of the genre. It plays a bit like a cross between Diablo and some of the old Ultima games, in that it can be fast and furious at some times and moody and atmospheric at others. If you enjoyed the original Divine Divinity then it's a fair bet that you'll like Beyond too. But although it's solid, there's nothing here to get really excited about. I can't help feeling that the RPG scene has grown rather stale over the last year or so and it needs something innovative and different to give it a kick up the backside. This, regrettably, isn't it.
