Dragon Age Versus Dungeons & Dragons

Maximus from the Neverwinter Vault has written up a short article that compares BioWare's Dragon Age to titles that use the Dungeons & Dragons ruleset. Here's a little something to get you started:
However from everything I've seen, from everyone I've talked to, from my experience with BioWare, Dragon Age is going to be what we were really hoping for with NWN. In my opinion, many of the hardcoded limitations will be removed plus all the the extras included (horses, cloaks, z-axis, etc..) so that people can really create the ultimate fantasy worlds. The setting of Dragon Age will be a virtually mirror image of D&D in my opinion. They can't legally say it's "Neverwinter Nights 2" since the intellectual property of the Forgotten Realms is not their's, but in my opinion, D&D it not "Drizzt Do'Urden" or the city of Neverwinter. Many of the top rated modules and gameworlds created by fans don't rely on that at all. It's that core set of races and creatures that make up the Medieval Fantasy world that really attracts players and is public domain.
