The Bard's Tale E3 Impressions

HomeLan Fed has dished up their impressions of The Bard's Tale, based upon what they saw of InXile's action RPG at this year's E3. Check it out:
The console game build we got to check out was still fairly early (there were a few graphical glitches that were fairly evident as we watched the gameplay unfold) but inXile is in good hands with the graphics since the engine was developed by Snowblind Studios for Everquest: Champions of Norrath. The top down perspective should be familiar to action-RPG fans, as is the killing of creatures, the taking of loot and the building up of experience. What action-RPG players may not be used to is the amount of pure humor in the game; The Bard's Tale is actually quite funny. The Bard can also address NPCs by being (nice) or being (snarky) and inXile states that such interactions and conversations between the Bard and his characters will actually affect the game as a whole.
