Vampire: Bloodlines Interview

RPGVault has conducted an interview with Troika's Leonard Boyarsky, asking the Joint CEO, Producer, and Art Director three pages of questions concerning character development in Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines. Here's a little something to get you started:
Q: What are the steps in the character creation portion of Bloodlines, and how closely does the process follow the pen and paper game? In what areas and to what degree have you departed from it, and why?

A: We stayed as close as possible to the pen and paper version of character creation, though it has been simplified by reducing the number of abilities and feats to those that are applicable to Bloodlines.

The way character creation works is that players are given a certain number of points to spend in each area - Attributes, Abilities and Disciplines. The amount of points given in each is determined by the player's clan - for instance, the Brujah is given the most points to spend in physical Attributes and the Skills section of his Abilities. Each level of any Attribute, Ability and Discipline costs one point in character creation, but then are assigned ascending point costs once the game has started.
