Beyond Divinity Peek of the Week #30

The thirtieth installment of RPGVault's "Peek of the Week" feature for the upcoming Divine Divinity sequel is now available. This time, project leader Swen Vincke talks about his current duties with the game close to "going gold". An excerpt:
To give you an idea of exactly how hectic, here is what I did in the last 24 hours:

- Supervised voice recordings
- Coded new character selection routines
- Finalized negotiations for printing of the boxes
- Edited text for the voice-overs on the cutscenes
- Had a lot of discussions with Kirill over the balance of the music vs. the voice in the cutscenes.
- Organized solutions for lots of localization problems
- Read and approved the manual
- Fixed a number of bugs
- Went to McDonalds to get massive quantities of junk food for the crunch team
- Entered bugs in the bug tracking software
- Assigned music to locations
- Spent a lot of time on the phone
- Subsequently cursed a lot
- Lost on the Killer Instinct machine we have here in the office, a lot
- Stared at the box art, thinking it's pretty good
- Read through Rhianna's story, thinking it's pretty good
- Made screenshots for the box
- Slept a couple of hours
- Coded, coded, coded
- Spent some time on our secret project.
- Looked at the calendar a lot, thinking that there's only a few days left before we go gold
- Played Beyond Divinity at each opportunity I found
- Thought a bit about this production. Once again, there's much more gameplay than we had anticipated. With cheat keys enabled and immortal status, it takes about 40 hours to play through the game, without going to the Battlefields.
