The next step is a critical one -- it's where the story gets broken down into actual missions. Again, this break-down is very rough and it doesn't describe specifics of how the mission plays, just what the goals will be, where it might take place and how it advances the story. The mission break-out is also structured by "cycle" where a cycle is a series of missions that deals with a particular super-villain. We knew we wanted to have this cycle structure to the game because it mimics the structure of comics where a mission roughly corresponds to an issue and there are several issues dealing with a particular villain or plot element.
