Sacred Previews

Two fairly positive previews surfaced this weekend for Ascaron's upcoming action RPG, Sacred. The first is over at GameSpy:
Other novel features of the game include the ability to ride and fight on horseback, which means you can finally get away from that horde of monsters that has you surrounded. There's also a whole bunch of cool equipment that can be customized to mesh with your style of combat. The game also sports a robust multiplayer mode, with cooperative or hack-'n-slash modes across the Internet, or on a LAN for up to 16 people. Encore (the game's publisher) expects the game to be available in March, so if you've gotten tired of waiting for a Diablo 3 announcement that may never come, Sacred is the game you'll want to watch for.

And the second is over at MyGamer:
When it comes to graphics, Sacred beats Diablo hands down. With lush backgrounds and detail on creatures and characters, Ascaron outdid themselves. The water looks real and the houses livable. You could spend hours just looking at the world if it wasn't for those pesky monsters running around. If you are zoomed in on you character, you can see the cuts a blood as you get damaged. The game also has a gore level for those that are squeamish.
