GameSpy sat down with Interplay's Gene Semel, chief audio engineer for Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel, for a brief interview concerning the audio elements of the game. Check it out:
Q: Will fans of the series notice any familiar audio cues or sound effects from past games?
A: Yes, a little bit, but we did try to take a bit of a new approach, a new direction. Interplay is known for the caliber of the audio that we do, so you do have to appease the old fans, but at the same time this is a new product. We're audio guys, albeit geeks, so we have to make this game sound cool.
