Horizons Interview

The Horizons Vault has conducted an interview with Artifact Entertainment's David Bowman, in which they ask several questions about the upcoming Horizons: Empires of Istaria. A snippet to follow:
Horizons will launch with nine playable species, how will the game play change between each race? Are the changes visual in nature?

Each race has dramatically different appearances. They also have greatly varying physical and mental attributes. In addition, they have specific Special Abilities that are inherent to their race. While it will be possible to play any race (except Dragons) in any school that you wish (after you meet any prerequisites), not all races will have the same advantages due to those differences. Dragons have their own schools. There will also be quests that are only available for some races, and some of those quests result in rewards that further strengthen the rate of progress in particular schools. It is possible to become very adept at any of the schools despite the race that you choose to play, but it will take longer to reach the same skill based on that choice.
