Star Wars: KotOR Developer Talk

BioWare's Community Manager, Jay Watamaniuk, has made a post on the official Star Wars: KotOR forums that details a couple people on the game's development team. First up is Derek Watts, Art Director:

Today Derek is working on concepting a gang area for artist Matt Park to start building. In one of the big cities featured in KoTOR, there are several areas that are under the control of street gangs. "We are doing a small hangar where some of the Swoop Bikes are being serviced. I'm just trying to plan out the size of that for Matt and give him a few drawings. He has done two other gang areas so he'll be doing the same lighting and textures for these areas also."
The next few weeks will still be dominated by working on different levels and some of the minigames that are featured in KoTOR.

The second member is Mike Trottier, Artist:

In the last month, Mike has been helping out with various parts of forest and temple levels created by the team of designers. Initially, Mike was working on a water-themed world but has now switched to doing sewers. He comments: "It's a big change for me to go from the bright, clean architecture of my last area to the dimly lit sewers. Every step has had a steep learning curve. I'm now working on little things to add some detail to my level; sewer pipes, grates, boxes and so on. To me, the Star Wars style has a strong emphasis on various structural elements like wall panels and beams. By that I mean every wall or panel you look at seems to have something more complicated mechanically hidden behind it. I need to make sure that sort of design feel is included."
