Fallout Preview For Macintosh

The guys at MacGamer have dished up a preview of the upcoming Macintosh version of Fallout. Check it out:
Fallout's media is still fairly impressive. The animation is very fluid - characters recoil when they are hit, walking isn't jerky at all, and the facial animations for some NPC encounters are still remarkable by today's standards. The sound is also well done - voices are occasionally included, death cries and moans of pain are everywhere, and the really big guns sound like really big guns. The graphics are gritty sprite animations, but they make the game look realistic enough. And, hell, for a very, very old RPG, it looks damn good. All of the sounds and graphics work together to produce one damn strong atmosphere - the kind that will keep you up playing at all hours of the night. Fallout is quite an experience.
