Reviews of Arcanum Coming In

The title says it all. In a review that might surprise many skeptics about the game (including me... but after reading this I may give it a whirl), VoodooExtreme takes a look at Arcanum: Of Steamworks & Magick Obscura, the RPG that, since its demo, has received much criticism both ways. The review is predominantly positive. Here's a sip:
These two fields add a very interesting dynamic to the game. It’s rare that you find a game filled with orcs, gnomes, swords, shotguns, and mechanical traps – Arcanum does just that. This unique world instantly sets Arcanum apart from all of the D&D based RPGs that have been coming out as of late – it’s a very refreshing and strong universe that has plenty of opportunities for sequels and expansions in the future. Not since Fallout have I seen a universe this diverse and fresh.

Another highly positive review comes from GameSpy. A spill:
Beyond the ability to create your own unique character, Arcanum also features a massive and sprawling story and game world. The main quest is huge in its own right, but the game also offers tons of side-quests. Just to give you an example, I deviated from the main quest for ten hours and spent every second of those ten hours carrying out side quests.
