DAoC Development Update and Screenshots

And in more Camelot news, Voodoo Extreme has a news blurb that features a development update from Mythic's Sanya Thomas, as well as three new screenshots. It's pretty short, so here's a direct rip:

Dark Age of Camelot is right on schedule for an October release. We released Hibernia to the beta testers a few weeks ago, and everything looks sharp. Later this week we're uploading the first dungeons (pathing issues are all fixed), trade skills, and even better lighting effects.

Our guild beta program was extremely popular, with over six hundred guilds and clans representing more than 25,000 players submitting applications. The selected groups are being notified this week, and they will be testing out our innovative guild system within the next few weeks. We think the players will appreciate what we've done in this area - the gentleman designing it sat down with a few dozen guild leaders and asked them what they wanted. Then we gave it to them.

Beta 4, the final testing stage, will start soon. After that, nothing remains except our stress test and gold copy.
