They're going to copy the USWest Realm characters over to another test server (this from the XP Beta FAQ) and all other characters will have to start anew.
Too cool! Look like that "hardcore" playing and trading I've been doing on Diablo II the last few weeks have paid off with my 78 'Zon!
On a D2 Leveling Tangent:
By the way, it seemed to me that level 77 is the cut off point for soloing Hell/Act4 difficulty and it taking any reasonable amount of time to level up. It seemed to take me forever at that level (forever in D2 leveling terms is not equal to forever in EverQuest terms... it's much shorter). Looks like I'm gonna have to multiplay.
Which brings me to another point. Why don't they increase the cap to level 120? Many of the items will have a level 80+ requirement, and it seems they could keep hardcore players longer if they increased the cap. Perhaps they should think on that a bit more.
