Gamer checks on the tile limit:

I looked in the database and could not find an answer to my question.
I know that each area can be 32x32. but what about a 16x48 for a long path?...

Correct, Minimum is 2x2 and maximum is 32x32 with a maximum of 32 tiles in either axis.
