A Tale in the Desert Interview

RPGDot has posted an interview with Andrew L. Tepper, President of eGenesis and responsible for the upcoming MMORPG "A Tale in the Desert". In the interview, he gives some answers to questions concerning the game's difference from current MMORPGs:

RPGDot: With no combat in the game, how will players advance through the discipline of Conflict?

Andrew L. Tepper: The discipline of Conflict is all about winning contests. To advance in the discipline of conflict, you challenge other players. The winner of a contest moves up in the rankings. We use a ranking system similar to a chess ladder. Some of the contests are physical in nature, like golem fighting. In golem fighting, you build a golem (at your own expense), and you must then put it in a ring with somebody else's. Other contests are tests of wit, like Egyptian Poker.
