In a new twist for fan voting, GamesDomain put each of the 16 finalists in groups of two for Game of the Year 2000, which then did one-on-one battle against each other... similar to any tourney. It's come down to the final two games after 3 rounds: the genre busting action/ intrigue/ RPG Deus Ex and the pure-as-they-get RPG with polish to spare Baldur's Gate II.
