The latest episode of Matt Barton's Matt Chat show is dedicated to The Dark Heart of Uukrul, an oft overlooked RPG released back in 1989. The game is said to combine some elements of Ultima and Dungeon Master, with an extra helping of puzzles on top of everything else. A few weeks ago I asked what classic CRPGs you love that you wish more people knew about. One of the games that came up was this 1989 title that plays, to me at least, like a fusion of Dungeon Master and Ultima III, though with more puzzles than either. It's easy enough to get up and running, but you will need the manual handy for spells and copy protection.
