Shadows: Awakening Gameplay Trailer

We haven't heard much about Kalypso Media and Game Farm's upcoming demon-summoning, soul-consuming RPG Shadows: Awakening after its initial announcement back in 2017. However, Kalypso's YouTube channel now features a new trailer for the game that shows off some fresh bits of gameplay and updates the release window to Summer 2018. Have a look:

Here are a few paragraphs about the game:

Shadows: Awakening is a unique, isometric single-player RPG with tactical real-time combat. You take control of a demon summoned from the Shadow Realm – the Devourer – to consume the souls of long-dead heroes and embark on an epic adventure with challenging gameplay, a gripping storyline and enchanting graphics.

Do you have the focus and wits to master the world of the Heretic Kingdoms in Shadows: Awakening? Gather your party, control powerful heroes and use their skills to your advantage. But who is in charge… the demon, or the souls that it has devoured? It's up to you to either thwart a major threat and save the world, or to plunge it into complete disaster…

Shadows: Awakening provides 20+ hours of gameplay in a single playthrough, switching between the Shadow Realm and the mortal plane, with substantial options for replayability which accumulate to 60+ hours for the full experience. Choose from three heroes, each with their own stories and personal quests. As the Devourer, you will be able to consume the souls of 14 playable characters, each with their own unique skillsets, that you must combine effectively in order to overcome your enemies in challenging and tactical real-time combat.

Shadows: Awakening is scheduled to launch on Windows PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in 2018.
