The Templars in XCOM 2: War of the Chosen are a resistance faction that can join your cause. Just like the similarly named Protoss units in Star Craft, XCOM 2's Templars are the masters of psionic warfare. They fight with their Psi Blades in melee and utilize lightning-based psionic abilities from afar. To use those abilities to their fullest extent, the Templars have to maintain a certain level of Focus, their class-specific resource.
