According to GameZone, Randy Pitchford from Gearbox Software has shown off some preliminary Borderlands 3 footage during an Unreal Engine 4 tech demo at GDC 2017:

Pitchford made it very clear that while we were looking at Borderlands 3, this was very much a tech demo and anything seen may be changed or might not make it into the final game. Although Pitchford stressed that things may change in the future, he did offer some teases on Borderlands 3.

According to Pitchford, Borderlands 3 will take place on new planets and that the character in the screenshots below is a character that Borderlands fan have encountered before - this is the reason why her face is not revealed.
