Landmark MMORPG to be shut down on February 21st

Continuing the sad trend of recent MMORPG cancellations, sandbox construction game Landmark is due to be shut down next month. Landmark, developed alongside the cancelled EverQuest Next, offered players the chance to build their own worlds using the same tools available to the EverQuest devs.

In a concise statement, Daybreak Game Company outlined what players can expect leading up to the official sunset date of Tuesday, February 21st, 2017 at 4:00PM Pacific Time. Specifically, they provided information about how they would handle Player Studio items, the Marketplace and Daybreak cash. The game is no longer available for purchase and its code will not be released to fans, so existing players have just over a month to log in their final hours with the game.
