The character of Emily Kaldwin apparently received a lot of attention from the developers at Arkane Studios, who were eager to turn her into a full-fledged protagonist for the sequel of Dishonored. I suspect the enthusiasm must have been sensed by the PR team, because, assuming I'm not just projecting, it's palpable in the new Emily Kaldwin spotlight video that Bethesda has just released:
