Fable Legends Shuts Down, Refunds Incoming

As expected, Lionhead Studios' Fable Legends was officially shuttered today, ending any chance that the action RPG installment might be resurrected somehow, someway despite the odds being stacked against it. The silver lining is that those of you who happened to spend money in-game will have it refunded, thus getting what was likely hours of entertainment for free:

Fable Legends closed today (13 April 2016) and will no longer be available to play. The Xbox and Windows Store teams are currently processing refunds for all players who made Gold purchases in the game.

Some players may have already received their refund, and you can check by looking at your Microsoft account. If you have not yet received your refund, please be patient and check back again soon. We will send another notification message to all players when all refunds are complete. To check messages on Xbox One, double-tap the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide, then select the Messages icon just below Achievements. To check for messages on Windows 10, you'll need to launch the Xbox app by selecting it in your Start Menu or by opening the start menu and typing Xbox. Depending on which version of the app you have installed the messages icon will be either in the left-side navigation panel, or on the upper right part of your home screen, near your friends list.

If you have any questions about the refund process, please contact Xbox customer support.

All of us here at Lionhead Studios would like to thank you for participating in the closed beta and being a part of the game's development. All stories have to end eventually, but the memories of Heroic triumphs and Villainous plots will last forever. Thank you for your support - you are all Legends!
