Grim Dawn Grim Misadventures #83

In the 83rd installment of Crate Entertainment's Grim Misadventures series, the team addresses many of the community-submitted questions that have come up since the announcement of the Devotion system, particularly those regarding "unlocking, assigning, and using the Celestial Powers." What's more, they reveal exactly when we'll get our hands on it - Build 28:

The secondary effects are restricted to one per skill, but there is no hard limit on how many you can use at the same time. You could, for example, have a power assigned to a spammable skill, another assigned to a cooldown ability and yet another to a buff. How many powers you unlock is up to you, spend your Devotion Points Wisely!

With recent changes to Devotion, your list of valid skills will also include any skills you earn from your equipment and components. Should you switch out your equipment, the skill assignment will remain, but the secondary effect will no longer be active or gain experience. This opens up exciting new opportunities for equipment-based builds.

You are probably eagerly asking now: but when do I get to try all this out for myself? And the answer is very soon! We would like to get Devotion in your hands as soon as possible so that we can get your feedback and impressions. Devotion is coming in November with the release of Build 28, which is expected to go into internal testing in the near future.
