The folks at Perfect World and Cryptic Studios have published a brief promotional video discussion between R.A. Salvatore and executive producer Rob Overmeyer about the upcoming Underdark update for Neverwinter. The developers stop short from claiming a collaboration was in place, but the video certainly gives the impression that Salvatore was consulted during the writing of this update. Considering his literary work, there is probably no person better equipped to talk about the Underdark than him:
