After a first delay in September, we were led to believe The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing: Final Cut, a condensed and tweaked re-release of the action-RPG trilogy, would release today. Unfortunately, the developers of NeoCore just announced that the game has been delayed again, and no new release date has been announced.
The developers are however opening a period of closed beta for the game, and those interested might want to know that there are little to no required prerequisites. A new release date will be communicated after this additional unplanned testing period:
In all seriousness, the development is not in danger. But it's not stellar either. We have been looking at the game, and we feel it's getting close to ready. But that still doesn't seem enough to us.
Final Cut should not only please the developers, but the fans as well.
In a way the Resistance is right: to be perfectly satisfied with the product, we need the feedback of our players.
So with this the unexpected, but necessary delay, we're announcing a short period of Closed Beta. You should really sign up, if you think you can make a difference. It will matter to us, to the game, to the players who expect Final Cut to be as great as we envisioned it.
What you need for Closed Beta:
That's it basically.
- Detail your hardware specifics (Processor, OS, Video Card, Memory)
- A contact e-mail
- Communicate in English well
Again, we're sorry for the unfortunate timing, but the delay serves a greater purpose, and we're standing by the philosophy we always followed: feedback matters. And a wonky release is worse than a delayed one.
