David Gaider on Sexual Diversity in Gaming

The folks at Video Game Sophistry have recently had the chance to chat with David Gaider, the former lead writer on Dragon Age: Origins and a fairly important writer at BioWare. The full interview isn't out yet, but they have released a snippet in which Gaider talks about the topic of diversity and sexuality in the company's games.

In particular, Gaider talks at length at the reasons that went into the creation of the character of Krem, a transgender male warrior in Dragon Age: Inquisition, after similar characters had mostly been used as punchlines for years:
