Shadowrun: Hong Kong Updates #5-7, $553,441 and Counting

Since the last time we posted about it, the Kickstarter campaign for Shadowrun: Hong Kong has hit three more stretch goals, and as one might imagine, Harebrained Schemes celebrated each of these milestones with a Kickstarter update (links: 1, 2 and 3). This means that, at $553,441 as of the time of this writing, Harebrained Schemes is now committed to expand on the cyberware and magic systems, not to mention implement a personal quest for Is0bel, one of the members of the crew (and yes, the 0 in the middle isn't a typo). A snippet on the companion personal quest:

Is0bel's personal side mission! Is0bel's parents were immigrants (more like refugees) from the Ethiomalian Territories and, as happens to many families escaping a brutal regime, they flew out of the frying pan and into the fire. Is0bel grew up in (and escaped from) the slums of Kowloon and knows her way through some of the most wretched places in Hong Kong. Unfortunately, her family still languishes in the depths of the sprawl. Her personal mission takes her back there - with you along for the ride.

And one on the expanded magic system:

With all this talk of cybertech and the Matrix, we wanted to be sure to add stuff that would benefit all the magic-users out there. For shamans, we have Shrine Spirits. These aren't your average elemental spirits who occasionally break from your control and go nuts on your party. These are great-form spirits - powerhouses who come when summoned, kick the butts point to, and then head home to pop a cold one. They won't break control, but they won't stick around long.

Phys ads (magical ninjas) and mages will gain access to Foci (that's plural for a focus item) - enchanted weapons and objects that allow adepts to deliver devastating magical attacks and boost a mage's power.
