Unconfirmed: The Witcher 3 to be Open World, Announcement on February 5th

By now some of our readers will surely be familiar with CD Projekt RED's habit to leave hidden messages in their trailers, and the Cyberpunk 2077 teaser was no different, as a NeoGAF user noted. The hidden message contains one very important tidbit that elaborates on the last lines of the trailer, which hinted at some kind of announcement on February 5th.

And it might be something big:
And that's not all that's new. We are about the reveal our other project, which is much closer to being completed, and yes it will be a fully open-world game with an intense story. You can probably guess the game we're talking about. On the 5th of February it will be all clear.

Unless we're just being misdirected by the devilish folks at the Polish studio, by now it seems almost certain: The Witcher 3 will be announced on February 5th, and will be an open-world game, breaking from the structure of its two predecessors.

Personally, I've never felt that The Witcher would be better served by being an open-world title, and in fact, considering that Cyberpunk 2077 will also be a sandbox title, I didn't expect this to happen, but I suppose I'm at least willing to give it a try. Your thoughts?
