Newport Beach, CA October 31, 2012 - InXile Entertainment today confirmed The Bard's Tale has received a free update on Google Play, Amazon and BlackBerry App World. The Android versions are updated to ensure compatibility with the new Google Nexus 10 and Nexus 4 including display support to (2560 x 1600). In addition, the game now supports the Gamepad and SD cards for save games. The update also includes both the original versions of Bard's Tale 1 and 2. The original Bard's Tale series was a #1 hit and has been inducted into the Hall of Fame for both Gamespy and Computer Gaming World.
The modern day version of the game was released to critical success in late 2004 and was recently released for Android where it became a top 3 game in most major countries. The game is still on sale for 50% in celebration of InXile's 10th anniversary.
"It has been quite a treat to see Android gamers step up and download such a huge footprint of a game," said Brian Fargo. "Our success shows that a quality Android game can sell despite the large file size."
