Borderlands 2: Captain Scarlett and Her Pirate's Booty DLC Reviews

We have rounded up three more reviews for Borderlands 2's latest DLC, the pirate-themed Captain Scarlett and Her Pirate's Booty.

The Controller Online, 8.5/10.
The Captain Scarlett and Her Pirate's Booty DLC doesn't really break any new ground within Borderlands 2, but it does deliver a lot more of what made this game great to begin with. The writing is still great, the enemies are still ridiculous and there is probably more loot here than anywhere in the main story. If these are the elements you were looking for, then it will be ten bucks well spent.

GameKicker, 8.5/10.
With its pirate theme, Captain Scarlett and her Pirate's Booty is the most novel of all the DLC in the series so far. It does fit with the Borderlands 2 universe, especially when this design doesn't come at the expense of the series' core gameplay. In all, it's a solid start to what is to be a promising roll out of Borderlands 2 DLC and it's an especially manageable adventure if you're level 15 or higher in your current playthrough (not counting raid bosses).

Gaming Examiner, scoreless.
The story is a great addition to the game and the interactions with Captain Scarlett and her crew are just another example of Borderland 2'²s upgraded humor and story-line. It's one of the most complete DLC expansions I have seen hit platforms at such a low price. It not only adds more to the story of Pandora but to the whole experience of the player. This is what you should start expecting from anyone that makes DLC expansions for open-world titles.
