Just when you thought that Torchlight II would become the real Diablo III by being delayed even more than its bigger-budget cousin, the folks at Runic have made good on their promise and announced the release date for their title on their forums yesterday. While they'll apparently announce it even more official and in a bigger way today, I'd wager most people are only interested in the date:

The official Release Date for Torchlight II is Thursday, September 20th, 2012.

3 weeks away!

We'll announce it 'more' officially and bigger tomorrow.

Considering the game will be released just a couple of days after Borderlands 2, a title with a similar focus on loot (but rather different central mechanics, truth be told), I hope it won't be significantly impacted by it.
