"Putting the role-play back into their role-playing games" is the primary focus of a new technology called SOEmote that Sony Online Entertainment will be debuting in EverQuest II sometime in the near future. We've seen software that can produce various voice fonts before, but this technology will also mimic your facial movements in-game:
